Bienvenue à The Dayton Family sur Hatchet House!

Pas mal de Juggalos avaient pensé à ce groupe aussi et je me rappel que Violent J voulait depuis un moment les faire signer.

Voici un extrait de l'interview 2009 de Murder Dog Magazine:

MurderDog: The ‘Bang! Pow! Boom!’ nationwide tour features the Dayton Family from Flint, Michigan, opening for ICP – I think for the first time on a full-scale tour ever. How is that going?

Violent J: I have a goal, man. Our goal is to sign the Dayton Family, straight up. I want to sign the Dayton Family to Psychopathic Records and I want to do a whole wicked shit album. There was a time when I sat down and talked to Shoestring about doing a wicked shit album. I was like, ‘Look, fuck radio. Fuck going for radio.’ And at the time this was a couple years ago and Shoestring was like, ‘No, man, I’m the one who can bring radio to y’all. I’m the one who can get you guys radio.’ And I’m like, ‘You don’t understand. We don’t want radio. We want to be a way to succeed without radio.’ Anyway, it’s been a couple years now, the Dayton Family’s on the tour, it’s only been two shows so far. I haven’t even seen them yet. But I want to talk to them and I want to say, ‘Let’s do an album of wicked shit, man – a whole album of wicked shit. Put it out on Psychopathic, tour that bitch for two years and let’s school it.’ That’s my idea. That’s my dream. I’m sure they’ve got a lot to say about it!
I know the guys in Dayton Family have been wanting to work with Psychopathic for a good while now. I’m a huge fan of Dayton Family, a crazy fan of Dayton Family. And I can’t wait to kick it with them. Of course, I want to go for the gusto. I want them to be a part of the family. I want them to come to Psychopathic. I would love for them to do some old-school, like the first record-type shit, man. That wicked shit they did on that first record was just classic. That ‘Dope Dayton Ave.’ That ‘What’s On My Mind?’ That was some true wicked shit, man.

Ah ça fait plaisir d'avoir une si bonne nouvelle ! De nouveaux membres pour Psychopathic record !
J'ai écouté un peu les musiques sur leurs myspace et je pense que je me laisserai tenter par l'album des 3 gangstats black obèses ! Jusqu'a présent Blaze était pour moi l'artiste de Psychopathic le plus "traditionnel" mais l'air frais qu'apporte The dayton Family semble rafraichissant dans la discographie du label !

Merci pour l'info Lazy et j'espère que Violent J ne se trompe pas , vu son enthousiasme la Dayton devrais nous blaster la face !

A chaque fois que Violent J parle d'un truc il est toujours à fond, c'est ça qu'est bien!

Je suis pas une grande fan de gangsta mais il y a quelques chansons qui sont pas mal. Dont "Flint niggaz don't play" qui rappel beaucoup Ice Cube et "Billy Blunt" qui a un excellent flow!

Ca fait un peu Devil Shyt , j'aime bien .

Voilà , voilà ! Perso c'est la première est la seule que je connais de The Dayton Family et j'aime beaucoup , tu me diras ce que t'en pense.

Bon mais assez classique, pas le hip hop qui m'a attiré vers l'horrorcore... Ils ont fait un bon duo avec Project Deadman (Mike E et Prozak) en 2004.

Sérieusement, qui aime cette chanson parmi vous ?

Elle est sympa, mais trop soft pour que je l'écoute souvent.

Moi je l'écoute régulièrement , parfois j'ai la flemme de chercher des musique sur Youtube alors je joue encore et encore les vidéos ajouté par mes abonnement et franchement je la trouve réussie .
Peut être parce que j'aime bien le clip mais je trouve pas la chanson désagréable .
On est loin du "wicked shit" mais ICP ont promis a TDF de les laisser rester eux même alors je ne peux rien dire .

En fait j'accroche pas sur ce single mais j'aime bien d'autres morceaux comme Prostitute Killer. Mais c'est sûr que je n'aime pas tout ce qu'ils font...
